STRING CHEESE INCIDENT Boulder, Co.-based String Cheese Incident doesn’t play by the industry’s rules. The group unveiled its self-described “sacrilegious mix of bluegrass, calypso, salsa, Afro-pop, funk, rock, and jazz" at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival shortly after forming in 1993. Thanks to an aggressive touring schedule, the band soon attracted a loyal following throughout the western U.S. and formed its own label, Sci Fidelity Records. The debut disc Born On The Wrong Planet arrived in 1997, followed by the release of A String Cheese Incident Live. Another CD, 'Round the Wheel, appeared in 1998, and the latest live disc, Carnival 1999, came next. In this live performance of “Indian Creek,” the group uses the following equipment: Eden Electronics DC210xt Bass Amplifier, Hubbub Percussion Congas, and a Pignose amplifier. “Indian Creek” courtesy of Sci Fidelity Records and Gritty Gitts Music.
